Merchandise includes artwork, clothing, toys, and prop replicas, as well as the games' soundtracks, including a heavy metal album, Blood & Metal (2010), featuring original music by various bands who were inspired by the series. The Norse era began with the 2018 game God of War and released for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and later Windows in January 2022. Other games include Chains of Olympus (2008) and Ghost of Sparta (2010) for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Betrayal (2007) for mobile phones that supported the Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME). A prequel, Ascension (2013), was also released for the PS3. God of War (2005), God of War II (2007), and God of War III (2010) comprise its main trilogy the first two were released on the PS2 with the third on the PlayStation 3 (PS3). The first seven games make up the Greek era of the franchise. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has published all games except the mobile phone installment, which was published by Sony Pictures Digital. Hades for Xbox Series S runs at 4K at a target 60fps.God of War is an action-adventure game franchise created by David Jaffe at Sony's Santa Monica Studio. Hades is currently available on PC and Switch, and launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One on August 13. The Switch version did get cross-save support not long after its launch, so here’s hoping it’s eventually added to PlayStation and Xbox as well. Meanwhile, Supergiant also states that unlike the game’s Nintendo Switch version, it will not support cross-saves with PC. There’s no word on what resolution and frame rate it will target on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Meanwhile, on both PS4 and Xbox One, it will target a 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. In an update on Twitter, the developer confirms that that does include the Xbox Series S as well. On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, developer Supergiant Games confirms that it will target 4K and 60 FPS. Hades is launching soon for PlayStation and Xbox across both generations in less than two months, but what exactly can players expect from it in terms of frame rate and resolution? Fans have been waiting for Hades – one of 2020’s best games – to release for PlayStation and Xbox, and that was finally confirmed recently.
